Wood Chipping Dates Available
Brian Oldham
Jun 2, 2026

If you are interested in having the Summit County wood chipper at your lot, we have the following dates available: June 29 - July 2 and July 6 - July 9.
The following rules must be followed or Summit County will bypass your wood pile:
1) Summit County will provide a crew and wood chipping equipment to chip excess branches and wood.
2) Property owner is responsible for bringing material to the edge of your lot next to the Uintalands roadway closest to the lot.
3) The wood to be chipped must not exceed 5’ high by 10’ long. If you have more than this you should sign up for two days. Your stack will be bypassed if you do not meet this 5’ X 10’ requirement.
4) NO MACHINE PILES of logs will be chipped.
5) Short logs commonly known as (Firewood Billets) routinely clog the chipping machine.
6) For safety reasons, any "Billets" that are under 24" in length and exceed 14" in diameter will not be accepted.
Summit County will chip one lot of wood per day. If you want to book one of the remaining slots please send an email to Brian Oldham oldham99@gmail.com with the following:
1) Your name
2) Lot #
3) Full lot address
4) Date you are requesting
5) Whether you want the chipped wood blown back onto the lot or put in a pile near where the wood will be chipped. Note: they will not spread the chippings but will blow just across the lot near the chipper.
Alternately, you can take your logs to the burn pit located near the shooting range.
