Electric and Regular Gates

Uintalands main gate is powered and requires an electronic key to open. Keys can be ordered by sending an e-mail to ulgateorders@gmail.com. You can also place an order at the Caretaker cabin. Orders will be available to pick up at the Caretaker cabin 7 to 14 days after placing your order. Orders must be paid for when picked up. Orders should be placed by the lot owner of record. Orders sent by email should be sent by the owner of record.

Note: owners can order up to 15 keys combined of metal and electronic per active lot. We have a return program for owners wanting to turn in metal keys and purchase additional electronic keys.

Listed below are the types of keys that can be ordered. The most popular (in order) are RF Tags, Keychain FOB and Remote Transmitter.

Gate keys and remotes are guaranteed to work when purchased, but due to typical rough handling in the mountain environment, keys have no further guarantee.

  • RF Tags. (preferred method) $10.00 each. RF tags install on the inside of any vehicle's windshield and are read as you drive up to the gate, causing the gate to open. The gate will then close automatically as you drive into Uintalands. Weather protectors for the RF Tags are free for use on an ATV fender. RF Tags should be attached to a solid surface. If stored in a glove box, the constant bending may cause them to stop working.

  • Keychain Fob. $12.00. You must exit your vehicle and wave the fob in front of the little window above the keys on the keypad reader located on the North side, just before the gate.

  • Remote Transmitter. $38.00. Works like a garage door opener. Opens the gate about 100’ before reaching it. The gate will close automatically after you have entered or exited Uintalands.

  • Metal Keys. $25. Metal gate keys are still necessary for the upper gates.

Contractors: If you have a contractor working on your property, a gate code can be issued for them to enter Uintalands during their term of work. The lot owner is responsible for any work or damage done by said contractor while working in Uintalands. Please see the “Uintalands Building Approval Process”. Please send your request to ULGateorders@gmail.com or call or text Lyndi Halling  801-603-7727

Guests: If you have guests that do not have an electronic key to enter, you may request a temporary gate code for them to use when entering Uintalands. The code should be entered on the keypad just before the gate. The code is for your guests' use and owners are responsible for educating guests to follow Uintalands rules. When your guests are scheduled to leave, the code will expire.

Contacts for gate entry: The below listed people are able to open the gate from anywhere and provide a gate code for guests. If you need the gate opened, please contact one of them. Please do not contact outside of listed hours.
