Uintalands Electric Gate FAQ's

Uintalands main gate is now powered and requires an electronic key to open. Keys can be ordered by sending an e-mail to ulgateorders@gmail.com. You can also place an order at the Caretaker cabin. Orders will be available to pick up at the Caretaker cabin 7 to 14 days after placing your order. Orders must be paid for when picked up. Orders should be placed by the lot owner of record. Orders sent by email should be sent by the owner of record.

Note: owners can now order up to 15 keys per active lot. Uintalands now has a return program for owners wanting to turn in metal keys and purchase additional electronic keys.

Listed below are the types of electronic keys that can be ordered. The most popular (in order) are RF Tags, Keychain FOB and Remote Transmitter.

  • RF Tags. (preferred method) $10.00 each. RF tags install on the inside of your windshield and are read as you drive up to the gate, causing the gate to open. The gate will then close automatically as you drive past the gate into Uintalands. RF tags will also work for UTV’s and ATV’s. Weather protectors for the RF Tags are free for use on an ATV fender. RF Tags should be attached to a solid surface. If stored in a glove box, the constant bending may cause them to stop working.

  • Keychain Fob. $10.00. You must exit your vehicle and wave the fob in front of the little window above the keys on the keypad reader located on the North side, just before the gate.

  • Access Card. $10.00. You must exit your vehicle and wave the card in front of the little window above the keys on the keypad reader located on the North side, just before the gate. This card is larger and thicker than a credit card.

  • Remote Transmitter. $38.00. Works like a garage door opener, but does not have visor clips. Opens the gate about 100’ before reaching it. The gate will close automatically after you have entered or exited Uintalands.

Contractors: If you have a contractor working on your property, a Gate Code can be issued for that contractor to enter Uintalands during his term of work. The lot owner is responsible for any work or damage done by said contractor while working in Uintalands. Please see the “Uintalands Construction Approval Process” link on Uintalands.com. Please send your request to ULGateorders@gmail.com or call or text Dan Struhs @801-834-1177

Guests: If you have guests that do not have an electronic key to enter, you may request a “Gate Code” for your guests to use when entering Uintalands. The code can be entered on the keypad just before the gate on the North side. The code is for your guests use and you are responsible for educating guests to follow Uintalands rules. When your guests are scheduled to leave, the code will expire.

Contacts for gate entry: The following Uintalands personnel and Board Members are able to open the gate from anywhere and provide a Gate Code for guests. If you need the gate opened, please contact one of the people below. Please do not contact outside of listed hours.
